Molecularly Distilled Fish Oil With 50mg DPA Fatty Acids Fights Inflammation Safely and Effectively

Molecularly distilled fish oil is purified using vacuums that changed the vapor pressure. The solution may or may not be heated. But, either way, the oils will boil. There is reason to believe that boiling reduces some nutritional component of the natural triglycerides that are responsible for their anti-inflammatory activity. Just what that component may be is, as yet, unknown.

The scientific evidence comes from laboratory comparisons that have been conducted in recent times. It is possible to measure the anti-inflammatory activity of a substance, comparing it to the known anti-inflammatory activity of aspirin or another analgesic. It has been shown that the natural triglycerides have a higher degree of anti-inflammatory activity, nearly equivalent to that of aspirin.

Manufacturers in the US are not allowed to claim that the supplement has anti-inflammatory activity.

The US FDA allows only a health claim concerning the heart. They can say something like this. There is supportive, but not conclusive evidence that EPA and DHA fatty acids may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease.

DHA and EPA are two of the fatty acids in molecularly distilled fish oil. The distillation process increases their concentration. So, there is some advantage to distilling the natural triglycerides, in order to increase their omega3 content.

There is also some evidence (although it is not yet recognized by the FDA) that the fatty acid called DPA contributes to overall cardiovascular health. DPA has been less studied over the years and the role that it plays in the human body is less well understood. But, recent studies indicate that it has just as much anti-inflammatory activity as EPA and DHA.

Manufacturers of molecularly distilled fish oil do not always list the DPA content, because it is less well known. Some of the better supplements provide 50mg or more of the fatty acid, far less than EPA or DHA, but still a significant amount.

Reducing inflammation in the body is important for people that suffer from painful conditions like arthritis, but controlling and preventing chronic inflammation is important for everyone. It plays a role in age-related diseases of all kinds, including cancer and heart disease.

When LDL cholesterol particles build up on the interior of the arterial walls, the arteries become inflamed. This inflammation narrows the passage way and reduces blood flow to the heart and throughout the body.

Since molecularly distilled fish oil has less anti-inflammatory activity than natural triglycerides but contains a higher percentage of important omega3 fatty acids, some manufacturers have decided to combine the two. That way, we can get a high percentage of omega3s, typically 50% or more of the total fat content, and the anti-inflammatory benefits of the “unknown factor” that is present in the natural triglyceride.

There are still some oils that are free of toxic contaminants. So, there is no need for distillation. The manufacturers’ website should provide proof of the purity of the natural triglyceride. If there is no proof, then you are better off sticking with molecularly distilled fish oil. Contaminants can be damaging to your long term health.

Why Everyone Should Use Molecularly Distilled Fish Oil If They Are Serious About Their Health

Molecularly distilled fish oil is something that you want to look for when you’re out there deciding on which omega-3 supplement you should buy. It ensures that the omega-3 fish oil is pure and safe.

It does not however ensure that the product is high quality and effective. You might also want to look for a company that purifies their oil before they put it through the molecular distillation process.

This makes the molecularly distilled fish oil much more pure and a lot safer. To only look for molecularly distilled fish oil is a mistake though, because you also have to look at the quality and quantity of DHA and EPA in the omega-3 product.

EPA and DHA are two omega-3 fatty acids that are essential to the human body. These are the two that have been researched and studied for many decades. They provide a myriad of health benefits.

You want to look for a product that contains more DHA than EPA.

The human brain is made up of 30% DHA, which is your brains favorite food. Your body also cannot convert EPA to DHA, but it can convert DHA to EPA.

Another thing you want to look for is how fresh the omega-3 supplement is. The better and more fresh fish that are used in the molecularly distilled fish oil, the less side effects you will have, such as burping, gas, bloating and other stomach problems.

These side effects usually happen because the oil is low quality or has even gone rancid. Some companies use flavors to mask the low quality of their products.

A molecularly distilled fish oil is pure and meets all of the standards for a safe and secure supplement. Make sure that you educate yourself and look for a company that can provide you with proof that their products are cutting-edge and pure.

Benefits of Fish Oil Supplements

Some of the fat you eat becomes part of your cell membranes, and plays an valuable role in the way those cells behave. Your body is essentially a collection of billions of tiny cells. And the health of your cells will imitate the health of your body.

Fish is a special food since it contains two long-chain omega-3 fatty acids – eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Fish don’t actually produce EPA and DHA. Rather, they’re synthesized by single-celled marine organisms that fish eat.

Fish Oil Supplements -Present Fish Dangers

Fish oil can be consumed by eating fish directly or by drinking fish oil which is often available in the form of supplements such as tablets, capsules, pills, soft gels, etc.

What are the benefits of fish oil supplements? Why not eat fish instead?

Ideally we ought to be taking the omega 3 we need from fish, like our ancestors had been doing for thousands of years.

We could be eating a diet rich in fish, as many nutritionists still propose. There are several problems with this thought.

Normally our ancestors had their fish uncooked and from clean uncontaminated waters; today we cook at high temperatures, oxidising the delicate omega 3 fats ( making them useless) and all oceans are tainted with so much pollutants that it is difficult to have a piece of mercury free fish. As you know mercury is highly toxic for humans.

You could ask, if all fish is polluted, are omega 3 supplements safe? Well, according to what consumerlab.Com has to say, yes. Today most fish oil supplements are produced by a process called molecular distillation that eliminates almost all pollutants.

They are safe enough to get the benefits of fish oil supplements.

You could also ask, what about commercially produced fish, is it safe?. This fish also may have some degree of mercury pollution but the real drawback is that this fish has less omega 3 than wild fish because its feeding is loaded with omega 6. They use grains, producing a high omega 6 low omega 3 fish. You may be wasting your money if what you are looking for is omega 3.

In order to improve your health, you not only should boost your intake of omega 3 but should decrease also your omega 6, watching your diet and exercising at least 3-4 hours a week.

If you just take some omega 3 and don’t lessen your omega 6 consumption you may still have a very excessive omega 6/ omega 3 ratio. This way, you can get some of the benefits of fish oil supplements but miss some others. Your best bet is to lower to a minimum the grains and grain oils.

Why Should I Take High Potency Fish Oil

Because the omega 3 fatty acids in fish oil are so good for our health, obviously the more you’re taking, the better. Right? Well, not necessarily. The most important thing to look for with fish oil, high potency fih oil or not, is how pure it is.

Cod liver oil is the lowest grade fish oil, as it has a lower omega 3 content and a higher risk of toxic contamination. You could find purified cod liver oil, however not high potency cod liver oil because it already has a high concentration of Vitamin A, which could be toxic in massive doses.

Health food grade fish oil is the next grade up. This oil comes from the body of the fish, so if your bottle of fish oil says ‘salmon oil’ or other fish name, then you could have a health food grade fish oil. This grade of oil has a slightly larger danger of poisonous contaminants, because it tends to be made from larger fish who live longer, eat quite a lot of smaller contaminated fish, and accumulate more toxins over time.

High potency fish oil of this type could have undergone a distillation process or different process that removes many poisonous elements.

Nonetheless, it does not remove PCBs if they are present. This kind is also nonetheless prone to trigger stomach upset in sensitive individuals, particularly when you require a larger dose.

Ultra refined fish oil is the highest grade. any and all toxins are eliminated, and the elements that cause stomach upset are neutralized. If you would like a high potency fish oil, search for ultra refined. It’s usually created from smaller fish who have a low toxic load, and has the best balance of EPA and DHA.

Pregnant ladies are sometimes advised to supplement with high potency fish oil as it helps brain growth and reduces post partum depression.

It is usually used to relieve signs of many health conditions. Asthma, depression, coronary heart disease, high blood pressure, colitis, Parkinson’s disease, attention deficit disorder and Crohn’s illness are only a few of the conditions that high potency fish oil is used for.

So if you wish to take high potency fish oil, ensure you find the purest grade possible, and check with your physician before you start to make sure that it is right for you…especially if you are pregnant or have liver or kidney conditions. In those instances, high potency fish oil might not be one of the best choice.

If you are wanting more information on high potency fish oil then you should take a look at http://highpotencyfishoil.net as it has some great information.

Molecularly Distilled Fish Oil – The Oil We Choose For Our Health’s Sake

Molecularly distilled fish oil, the oil we choose for our health’s sake. We can no longer afford to just go and buy a fish oil supplement. The oceans and our fish are so full of contaminants, that we need to check out the manufacturers website, to see for ourselves if the oil has been processed by molecular distillation to remove the dangerous impurities.

While you are at the companies website, check that the fish are landed close to where the oil is processed. This is to check for freshness. Some oils travel vast distances and the resultant oil sometimes starts to oxidize. Some firms hide this rancid oil by adding flavors to it.

Molecularly distilled fish oil is used by our brain to help us maintain good mental health. The DHA fatty acids are used to lift our spirits and keep our emotions in check. If the DHA levels get low, they cause the serotonin levels to get low also.

This leads to emotional distress and bouts of depression. The DHA also aids our memory and our recall function.

It is not just the brain that molecularly distilled fish oil helps. It helps our cardiovascular system. And if taken regularly as a supplement, it helps to prevent us from suffering a heart attack. They say that the mere presence of Omega3 fish oil helps to strengthen our hearts electrical system and helps to prevent heart rhythm abnormalities.

I should mention the New Zealand company that has done a lot of research and development. They have an oil that has double the anti-inflammatory properties of other highly concentrated oils. This oil is helping to alleviate the swellings and pain often associated with rheumatoid arthritis and other arthritic type diseases.

I will mention again the fact that you need to only buy a molecularly distilled fish oil that has had the dangerous impurities such as lead, mercury and the cancer causing PCBs etc.

removed. This process is the only way of getting rid of these PCBs. The remaining oil will be the freshest and the cleanest you can buy.

Benefits of Fish Oil Supplements

Scientific studies indicate that the health benefits of fish oil supplements are due primarily to the omega3 fatty acids that they contain. But, when if comes to fighting inflammation and preventing chronic inflammation, there is something else in the natural triglyceride that is important. You might call it an “X” factor.

There have only been a few evaluations concerning that X factor, but what they have shown is that the anti-inflammatory activity cannot be explained by the omega3 content alone. Omega3 fatty acids do down-regulate inflammation. That’s why it was thought that concentrating the omega3 content through molecular distillation was advisable.

But when scientists compare the anti-inflammatory activity of a concentrated ester to that of a natural triglyceride, which has lower omega3 content, the natural triglycerides have twice the effectiveness of the concentrated ester. The only problem that a supplement manufacturer must overcome is the issue of purity.

Because of pollution, particularly mercury, in the environment, some health risks are associated with eating too much fish, particularly if it is the same type of fish. In order to provide the inflammation-fighting benefits of fish oil supplements, without any risk of contamination, a manufacturer must have the triglycerides evaluated for purity.

There are still a few species on the planet with no detectable level of mercury or other pollutants in them. They are typically small species that swim in very clean, cold water. The New Zealand hoki is one species that has been evaluated for purity; no detectable level of contaminants was found.

So, it is possible to provide the natural triglyceride and still provide the utmost purity. But since the natural triglycerides contain a lower concentration of omega3 fatty acids, the better manufacturers combine 500mg of natural oils with 500mg of concentrated ones. That way, they provide all of the benefits of fish oil supplements, not just the anti-inflammatory activity.

One of the omega3 fatty acids is called DHA or Docosahexaenoic Acid. One clinical study showed that high intake of DHA lowers blood triglyceride levels by 26%. Less reduction was seen in groups that took other omega3s.

Low levels of DHA circulating in the bloodstream have been associated with depression and bipolar disorder. Studies are ongoing concerning the protection that supplementation provides against Alzheimer’s and age-related dementia.

To get the benefits of fish oil supplements to the brain, you need a large amount of DHA. The better brands provide a minimum of 260mg per capsule. The recommended dose is two capsules per day, which would provide 520mg of DHA.

Not all manufacturers list the amount of DHA that is in each capsule, probably because they are not required to. Most will list the amount of total omega3s that is in each capsule. If the supplement provides very few omega3s, there’s probably not much point in taking it.

A good supplement may reduce your risk of heart disease and certain types of cancer. According to research, the benefits of fish oil supplements affect every system of the human body. You might want to learn more about them. See what supplementation can do for you.
